Image Credits

Player photos come from Wikimedia Commons, a library of freely licensed media, and are used under the licence each photographer chose. Backed only uses photos under these licences:

• CC0 1.0 (public domain dedication)
• Public domain (for example, works of the US federal government)
• CC BY 2.0, 2.5, 3.0 and 4.0 (Creative Commons Attribution)
• CC BY-SA 2.0, 2.5, 3.0 and 4.0 (Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike)

Backed stores its own copy of each photo, usually a smaller one, and may crop it to fit, for example into a circle. Each credit below says when the stored copy was resized or converted. Each photo stays under its own licence, which is linked below, and not under Backed’s terms. Backed may later also show photos from licensed photo providers; they will be credited here too.

A licence covers the photographer’s copyright only. It gives no right to anyone’s name or likeness beyond that, and the people pictured, and their teams and leagues, are not affiliated with Backed and do not endorse Backed or any play posted on it.

Team logos appear next to team names, only to identify the teams. Each logo belongs to its team and the team’s league. Backed keeps its own small copies of the logo files, obtained from TheSportsDB or, for a few teams, from the league’s own published logo file; they are resized, not redrawn or recoloured. Showing a team’s logo does not mean any affiliation with, or sponsorship or endorsement by, the team or its league.

League logos are not shown: Backed uses its own sport icons.
